Am I the only one missing the Christmas movies?

Am I the only one missing the Christmas movies you watch with your toddler?

This Christmas was dominated by Mogg the Cat, Robin Robin and Shaun the Sheep the Flight before Christmas.

These three are brilliant half-hour-long films that capture Christmas and the creative spirit without being too ‘festive’ or sugary.

Robin Robin

Robin Robin is by Aardman Films and is a stop-capture animation. instead of using the clay of most previous films like Wallace and Gromit, they use felt models.

It brings a feeling of warmth, winter and life to the story.

Highly recommend.

Mogg the Cat

Mogg is a naughty feline at Christmas in London during a typical 1970s Christmas.

As I was not around in the 1970’s I am unsure how typical it is, however, it does feel like it captures the fun of the time and all the antics of a naughty kitty.

Shaun the Sheep: Flight before Christmas

Another Aardman classic, this story is done in the classic and wonderful clay style we have all come to love from Aardman.

It tells the tale of a Christmas at Mossy Bottom.

All three films are a great watch even outside of Christmas.

I look forward to watching these films again next Christmas and hopefully discovering some new gems.
