Dumfries Sandstone Made Glasgow
The famour colour of Glasgows tennenats is due to Dumfries Sandstone.
The very sandstorm was quarried from Dumfries.
It is strange to think that once Galloway was a desert that desert became Dumfries sandstone, which in turn gives parts of Glasgow and Dumfries their unique look.
Dumfries and Galloway Council should promote Dumfries as the place that build Glasgow just for a little bit of banter with the Glaswegians.
Joking aside, this is something Dumfries should take pride in.
