From Utah to Galloway
Earlier this month I bumped into two Mormons who are on their mission from the Church of Latter Days Saints. As someone who is not very religious, I decided instead of having a short sharp conversation I would stop and have a chat.
I learned they had come to do their mission in Scotland and they were from Utah. They mentioned how green Galloway was.
I cannot fathom what going from the Utah desserts to the green pastures of Galloway must be like. As a British person moving to Galloway, it is green even for me.
Makes me realise that sometimes we take Galloway's green and pleasant land for granted.
