Star Wars and Disney
I have been on a Star Wars binge lately taking in all the new films and series. I have too say that in my view Disney have really done a great job with the new Star War.
Although online you read plenty of complaints, winning and moaning. I feel it is great for the following reasons:
They understood the films are a set piece for families to enjoy together and keep the mood and vibe of the original three films.
The spin-off films have all been put together to be both "Star Wars" and to also feel unique and original.
Streaming series like Andor (Tinker Tailor Solider Spy in Space) and Mandolorian / Book of Fett (Space Cowboys) so feel both like Star Wars, but also take us into the world of Star Wars in different genres.
They are all fun and entertaining to watch (literally the point of watching "Star Wars".
I hope that Disney can keep the quality up. However, the stories do also need to have a meaning and be relevant for storytelling.
