Stormy Scotland and Climate Change
The current stormy weather makes me realise that Scotland is going to be hit hard by climate change.
The increase in ocean temperatures is going to cause more rainfall and more storms.
This will bring benefits and downsides to Scotland.
Increased rain, will at least mean that droughts will not be a feature of life in Scotland which will be good for silage and animal farming.
However, increased storm damage and flooding will have a major impact on housing and businesses. There are no simple solutions to mitigate this.
Putting more oil and gas into the sky is certainly not going to help. But stopping drilling only increases our reliance on forign energy.
